Got my new system tweaked to (I think..) Perfection, What do you guys think?
Hey, I'd love to post some screen shots of the benchmarks, but have no way to host the pics. But here are the numbers:
3DMark2K : 8075
Q3 (1027x768x32 Full detail) : 101.4
Sandra Scores (ver 2000.7.6.49)
CPU Dhrystone 3140 MIPS
Whetstone 1534 MFLOPS
CPU MM 3717/5166
Memory Tests 503/577
HDD Tests
Drive Index 30898
Here is the system Run Down
Athlon 1000@1100
256 PC 133 (cas3)
Abit KT7-Raid
4 Western digital 20.5 gig 7200 RPM Hdds (raid 0)
Hercules GeForce 2 GTS 64mb @210/400
SBLive!
I think My scores are awesome... are they? Where can I possibly squeeze more performance from? The system is rock solid and can do Seti all day long, and hasent crashed or locked for about 20 hours of testing

Looks like a nice setup. 4 7200 HD, wow, I wish I had more money. You have them in a raid 0 array, wouldn't you expect a higher drive index ? You can get to around 30000 with two disks.
What's your HD-tach score ?

I dissipate, therefore I am (Entropian version of Descartes in relation to CPU-cooling)
CTho9305 the Geforce 2 that Pikachu has, (64mb version) is using DDR SDram as oppossed to the slightly faster at the same clock speed), DDR SGram.
DDR Sdram will usually clock higher than DDR Sgram anyway so where as a GTS like mine with 32mb (DDR SGram) tops out around 390 before slight snow the SDram versions should do 400 plus before snow.

NICE..... and I've got basically the same base system so if you got some tips
T-bird 1gig at 1.2gig
Abit kT7 Raid (Raid not set-up yet only had it together for a day!!)
256mb Mushkin PC133 2.2.2
Asus v7700 GTS (230/390)
2x IBM 75GXP HDD
soundblaster live
Also if you mail me what pics you want up within the next 10 hours I'll put them up for you and give you the URL's, Jpegs or gifs only please. (I'll be away for the weekend in ten hours after this posting.. WORK )
Perhaps i can get some more speed out of it if I raise the voltage, but I wanna wait for my water cooler to get here first I will be ordering it shortly

Hey! Aren't you the one that had the preproduction P4? What happened to that 1.6Ghz system with RDRAM?
Well the Mustange cores will be out in about a week. They are only looking at 1.0, 1.13 and 1.2Ghz. They are releasing the AMD 760 boards and DDR SDRAM and will be utilizing the 266Mhz bus and DDR. If they have a 200Mhz bus version of these chips or Abit releases the BIOS to support the 266Mhz bus (133Mhz EV6). Maybe their was a real reason for active cooling on the NorthBridge. I wonder if they are locked the same way and can be overclocked like the Duron/Athlons and weither this is the Athlon or Athlon Ultra (depending on L2 cache amount)... prbably a 512k L2 Athlon.
Next big queastion is if these things can overclock. With them looking at 1.27 in November, 1.33Ghz in December, and 1.4 and 1.46Ghz in January/Febuary (they promised 1.5Ghz in January, but his is probably the actual target). Should smoke the P4 pretty easy with or without SMP, but only time will tell.
