Suggestions onOverclocking a 800 Thunderbird

Most i ever did before Overclocking wise was run my 266 @ 333 , thats it.

Now i have an 800 and was very curious about how high i may be able to run it safely. Also suggestion on how to do it would be great as this will (hopefully) be my first good overclocking.

chip - 800 AMD Thunderbird
MB - Asus A7V

I am also wondering how far the T800mhz will overclock. After reading some of the OCing posts I am anxious to get started!

I've read a few posts where people with 700mhz run at 1ghz.

The most my 800 will run at stable is 965 with 1.85v. With the voltage mod to get 1.98v i can run 990. Thats with an alpah pal6035.

I'm having cooling problems, so I'm stuck at 888 (8x111) so far and 45c running SETI

One thing that would really help is how you went about overclocking it, and what you watched for etc. Kinda like a step by step guide but short of course

Thing is i know roughly everything being talked about in overclocking but not seeing it been done by anyone i know etc makes it harder to visualize if that makes sence?

Also with some good imput it can help hopefully avoid some mistakes others have made.
