    Check out this temp...

The below pic is one I snapped when I got in off night shift. I have a fan bringing cool night air into my room. I use nothing but Arctic Silver and an Alpha PEP66 on my P3700@933 (1.65V).

No pelt necessary. I'd like to see AMD make a CPU that'll run this cool on air....

Hmm... those temps seem impossible. How do u have the CPU at 1/33 if the mobo temp is 15/59? 'cose the CPU is cooled with air from within the MB!

It sure looks like a classic As-us-less PC Probe reading that's erronous. Try getting your temps with MBM 4.17 / 4.18

I feel those temps are very possible. I live in Northern Alberta Canada. Last night the temp outside was -2 degrees Celcius (my room was about 2-3 degrees Celcius). But I'll use MBM to check as well....

Point is: Unless your CPU is not inside the case, then why is the case temps not as low as the processor? Hhhmmmm?

Exactly. And before anyone says it's because Win2K has a built in system idle (like Rain)feature, it can't bring your temps to below those of room temps (mb temps).

ASUS PC useless Probe is junk... What good is temp monitoring software that won't even read under 1c????????????

ya I agree with Maxout... If only my bank balance would follow my CPU's heat curve when I switch this CC off...

I don't think you can get yer chip below room temp without active cooling.

I installed MBM 4.18 and the temps it gave me are within a degree of the ones I got from PC Probe. I'll get a screen shot up in the morning...

Well, since the laws of physics are still the same in Alberta, without active cooling the cpu can't be cooler than the system. Perhaps the embedded sensor is faulty...

Well, why don't you open up the case and actually touch the cpu. See how cold it feel. (Be sure not to get your finger stuck to it )

Closed the window and shut off the fan bringing cold air in. Now idles abot 25-30 degrees Celcius. So now I know the sensor isn't faulty...
