    If you've got a Soyo board, that's the overheat alarm It's settable in bios, if you want to turn the threshold up. I'd recommend better cooling, as the lowest possible alarm setting is still like 56°C!

    It's almost always a CPU overheat alarm. Set it to 50°C and you should be fine.

    OK, but its not the regular high pitched whine it an inverted enlish style two tone siren.

    I almost dont think its heat-related.

    What mobo??
    Soyo uses two tone alarm for temp as stated before. Also, they use different combinations (songs??) for different error situations, but the two tone is for temps.

    Its an ASUS K7M although my A7V makes the same one. Also I got the high pitched whine just awhile ago...when I was muckin' with the cooling so its not the heat alarm.

    Hows that Super Coupe doin' ???
