    Ip address in win 2000????

    Hi I was wondering if you guys could tell me how to find out what my IP address is, I have win2000 if that changes anything. Also I tried typing in winipcfg and it didnt work
    What are you standing there for??? Overclock that ****!!!!!!

    You know, I've seen some damn long descriptions of where people live, and I was just wondering how freakin' long of a location they actually allow you to write in here. Looks like it's quite a bit. Oh well, if the space is here I'll use it!!! :)

    ipconfig - works for NT and win2k

    run it from a command prompt... if you try the run line under the start button it goes by too fast to see.

    Command prompt is "cmd" without the quotes... just incase you didn't kno
    It said "requires Windows 95 or better," so I installed Linux.

    Start, Run.
    cmd (=command prompt) (in Win 9X type command)
    in the dos box type ipconfig /all
    and youŽll get the info you need!

    WINIPCFG is for WIN9x, and IPCONFIG is for WIN NTx.
