    Woooohoooooo!! just got cable inet access

    Wanted to be able to surf p0rn super fast - So had a cable modem installed this AM.

    Actually, @home was just made available in my area, and for $20.00 a months for 6 months, thought I'd give it a try (for 6 months, anyhow).

    Do I seem faster to you guys??

    I am so in love with my cable modem! Last night I even took screen shots as I downloaded a couple 100mb+ game demos at 300K/s+, and sent them to some underpriveleged dialup users I know, hehe. (KISS Psycho Circuis is a damned fine game, btw- don't knock it just cos it's got KISS in the name!)

    You're going to need a larger hard drive now, ya know AudScott. A half-hour video at typical compression is about 50mb, and that adds up fast! Not to mention you're open to the nice phat world of cd-quality streaming mp3! http://www.fatfree.com is a good place to flex your new broadband

    you can grab a 30gb HDD for $110

    Hey guys whats up I just got my cable Inet access about a week ago also I LOVE IT I am on att@home also got the same deal as above
    They offered to install it the next day but that wasnt good I had to wait ubtil I WAS FREE LOL 3 days later So anywat its cool another good place to visit for anyone who has a cable modem or dsl is http://www.speedguide.net they have some good patches there to speed up your access

    I've been surfing & down loading all day.

    This is the only way to go...well, if you can of course.

    I have an 8.4 Gig HD grover - but you know how fast that virtual real estate goes.

    No time at all I'll be looking for one of those 40 Gig triple platers.
