Thermal Grease same as Petrollium Jelly?

I was just wondering ^topic^...also does anybody know how to apply thermal grease to celeron 566? If so please replay or put a link that guides how to apply it. Thanks!

They aren't the same although they have a similar consistancy. Use a old credit card to smooth a thin but complete layer of thermal compound on the raised silicon slug on the Celeron. Apply the HSF with a slight twisting motion and make sure any excess thermal compound is scraped off. That's all there is to it.

Thermal Grease and Petro Jelly are definitely not the same and are not interchangable. Do NOT put Petro Jelly under a Heatsink! Other than that follow S_Klass advice and you'll do fine.
