I've lurked about here off and on for quite awhile. I recently purchased a Celeron 566 and am wondering what the optimal sensor 2 (chip) temperature is. I saw only the recommended case temperature in the Intel spec sheets. Is there a site that lists ideal temperatures? I've searched in several places tonight and am unable to find anything definitive.
The Celeron II is a coppermine core chip and thus runs relatively cool. As a reference point, CPU temps should be no more then ~4° - 8°C above room temps. Therefore if your room temps are ~27°C, your chip temps should not exceed 35°C (under optimal air cooling conditions).
------------------ -=S_Klass=- I tweak... therefore I am.
