Well, I have about $700 to blow, I'm in no realy hurry, but would like to get something done. I have:
A semi-functional Viper v770 Ultra
A BH6 with a 500E (fried my damn BF6)on an IWILL slocket 2
128MB of Corsair PC100 SDRAM that does 150FSB at 2-3-3 no precharge.
SBLIVE Value!
6.4 GIG IDE drive,
9.1 gig U2 SCSI drive,
Adaptec 2940U2W SCSI controller.
I am most interested in upgrading the Mobo and the vid card. Be it known though that the IDE drive is filled to the brim.
I at least need a new vid card, because mine's waterdamaged. So anything you guys have to offer is great!
BTW, I might also grab me a new waterblock
since mine is taylored for slot1 cpu's and very hard to mount. Thanks guys.

mobo, I would suggest P3V4X (with 4 way memory interleaving, performances is up there with BX) and also gives you more options for vid card (1/2 AGP divider).
Can you tell me how the Iwill SlotketII fried your mobo? I've been thinking of getting one but if there are things to look out for I would like to know.
As NiteOwl said, "ASUS"
These boards the best for stability, and they overclock well too. I also like Abit for overclocking BX platforms, but some people find this platform less stable
MOF: I don't think it was the slocket. It's a long story but one day she just froze up and wouldn't turn on ever again... But i'm very happy with the slocket, except for the mounting things... I hate mounting tabs. With a passion that burns brighter than the north star.
And Rotor, I almost forgot about your stuff. It's really good. All I need is some prices, what's your site again? And do you accept money orders? Thanks man. I've seen your work, and I like it.

by the way, I feel I should mention that I have no company loyalties, no problem with bying 3dfx as opposed to Nvidia, or AMD as opposed to intel. (although the latter would definately be more expensive as per chip & mobo)

Excellent, I believe we will be doing business in the near future #Rotor.
Also, I checked out the stats on the p34vx, and I would rather like higher FSB options than 150, I know my chip and RAM and vid card will do that on a BF6. I was hoping to jump up to the next level.
Are there any VIA boareds that do higher than 150? Thanks again!
