Great tutorial, only one query though. On the pic 2nd row from the bottom on the right u put the plate in a vice and their is the black stuff on it. What is that, silican?

yes, just plain silicon sealant, do not use epoxy to create the water tight seal, epoxy can not withstand long periods of exposure to water.
