Got the be6 11 533a copper spacer and a golden orb cpu fan, and an abit slocket 111. It booted the first time at 800.... Then I went in and changed it to 533 for awhile and will step it up gradually. Have to setup hardware monintoring software. The golden orb fits the flipchip great, it;s made different. Anyway just thought I would put my 2penny"s in. Agreat fan for the price
my cel533a is having an identity crisis. it's been at 800 since it came out of the box. poor little bastard.
that's great that the golden orb fit so well. i wanted one, but got a different heatsink because i'd read that the gorb was a tight squeeze, and thought it would not fit with my socket adaptor sandwiched in there.
J1CS - what voltage are you at, and are you going to try to push it past 800?
I been following and reading this forum and i found it cool! ... good for me to gain more knowledge about computer. But the problem is I dont speak or write fluent english (poor me!)... so theres alot of terms that I cant understand Next silly question from me ... what is SETI. I already asked few of my friend here but none of them can answer me For me its good to ask although it make me look stupid rather then pretend like clever ... he heh
For me the golden orb fits perfectly, the heatsink that toches the flipchip, the blue part is round and sits right on top, no caps. I have it at 1.5v at 66x8 for now. it works at 100x8 at 1.5 also just havent set it their yet, need to get a motherboard monintoring software, just havent had time yet.I got my golden orb for $9.00 .
tOKSIK you speak Berhasa Melayu? Your english is fine, don't worry about it. As far as questions go, you've come to the right place, we are bursting with answers.
Hey $9 for a orb is cheap! Was that a Slot1 or FCPGA orb? And where from?

-=S_Klass=- I tweak... therefore I am.
Maxout ... TQ! Already went to that site and its cool
S_Klass ... yeap ... Bahasa Melayu.
I been looking for that "orb" at few computer shop here in Malaysia but unfortunately until now no luck for me
Got myself 500 mhz PPGA celeron with Intel stock heatsink/fan, very cheap Eagle socket 370 VIA Apollo Pro Plus mobo with award bios, Siemmen 64 MB PC100 SDRAM, 8 MB Agp S3 Savage 4, 4.1 Seagate Medalist UDMA 33 Harddisk, 30 X Cyberdrive CDR. If I manage to get that "orb" maybe I could push the fsb to 83 or 100 if I am lucky. Been running 563 mhz (Windows 98 SE) for 2 week without any problem .. and I really love this chip
J1CS good luck and hope you will reach that 800 soon
