L2 Cache errors during Stability Test......... help please!
Well, that about say's it! Here are a few more details:
AMD K6/2-550@600mhz
DFI K6XV3+ mobo
1mb L2 cache
During Stability Test in "Hardcore Mode", I get 3 or 4 test finished, then a "L2 Cache Error" and the test get aborted.
In "Normal Mode" I can get the test done sometimes, about 50% of the time.
These errors seem to happen when the CPU temp is at the max.(44c) But even a cold boot and starting from an idle temp of 33c doesn't help all the time. And Hardcore Mode always causes the error.
Could heat be affecting my L2 cache? Can I put heatsinks on my cache chips?
Any ideas???
Thanks in advance for any comments.
