    Memory Question

I have a question about some Mushkin High Performance w/ Mosel REV1.5 PC133 222. How high of an fsb can this usually go? I would get it in a 128meg stick.

    -or-

Should I just get the Kingmax TinyBGA 128meg with 7ns ram. The site I would buy this from, says its 7ns, but when I go to KingMax website, they dont list any 7ns ram, only 7.5ns

I would like to achieve 150fsb with either of these. Which would most likely hit 150? Also what is a mosel?

Do you want 150MHz FSB speed at CAS 2? or CAS 3? Big difference there.

Machupo has some of those high performance ran...

    I think it can go up to 166mhz @ cas3, not sure about cas2 (I think 148mhz)

I've seen several tests of premium SDRAM including the best from Mushkin, EMS HSDRAM, Crucial and none of them will do 150MHz at CAS 2 stable. Not consistantly at least. At CAS 3, most of the SDRAM monetioned above made it to 150MHz. Why choose 150MHz at CAS 3 over 140+MHz at CAS 2? Is there a clock speed you are trying to reach?

Yeah, in 2 1/2 weeks, I'm going to be building my first computer. And I'm going to be trying to get 825mhz out of a PIII 550E, so I would like to have some Ram that can do 150.

So like you said, the Mushkin can do 150@CAS3 right? Sounds good to me.

    Thanks S_Klass

Yesh, at CAS 3, The Mushkin Rev 1.5 performs comparabily to the Rev 2 which is almost $50 more expensive. So settle for the Rev 1.5 chips if they are available.
