I have found the wires that come on TECs, even the good ones lacking, If the wire gets at all hot or warn then it is not up to the job and acting like a resistor. I replace it with wires designed for Radio Controled model cars. These have high power Ni cad batteries and suck large currents so are well up to even the most demanding TEC.

You can get some a Model shops or the Maplin / Radio Shack type shops.

If you replace the TEC wires don't get it too hot

I had my ice-71 connected to the power supply using standard (larger of the two) power connector. I noticed the connector gets very warm, not a good sign. I think its time for a more direct connection.

Holy crapamoly! Does the money come out of your noble rear end #Rotor ? Monster Cables cost mucho dinero the last time I checked.

Oh well - If you expect the best
Don't show your setup to any audiophiles though
