WPCREDIT HELP!!

Hi all Ive just built a comp using a Via 133 board.

I know how to enable interleaving and IOQ 4, but how do i set it up so that it loads the registry file everytime

First of all, I think it would be a lot easier if you would look for a BIOS upgrades incorporating those performance boosting options. The new BIOS for my Soyo board has them, as well as the ASUS bios upgrade. So check out your manufacturer's website.

Failing that however,you can download the WCPRSET proggie from H-ODA's website. Go to www.h-oda.com and to the Downloads section. Scroll to the bottom and download the file. I guess further instructions are enclosed with the file. Never used it, just know that's how it's done I think it loads the configuration reg file at bootup. He even has a pre-modified reg file for download, specifically for the Apollo Pro 133A.
But I recommend you to go for that BIOS update, so you can leave all this hassle behind.

I can't download the bios cause the board im doin this one is a Chaintech 6ata2. So Soyo and Asus bios' are out of the question.

My other board "asus p34vx" already have all these options turned on in the default bios settings.

Sweet stuff!

I figured out how to use the WCPRset. it works like a charm. Boosted my memory benches by 100+ points.

Are there any other good tweaks besides interleaving and IOQ?

Set your memory timings to Turbo, or a bit lower if it crashes.
And set your CAS latency to 2 if your mem can take it.

I doubt if my mem can handle it (cas2) since it's only PC-100. It runs fine at 140 (3-3-3)
but only marginally good at 133 2-3-3. But totally fine at 133 3-3-3.

Just use the program WPCRSET to load your registry with your new settings at each bootup.

It is available from H-ODA also.

Hey Siamese, give it a try ! I am running my two year old PC 66 CAS3 Hyundai RAM at 100 Mhz, CAS2 with no problems.

Just give it a shot, if your RAM won't cut it, it will just freeze your puter, so if it does, then you can just dial it down a bit.

CAS2 at high FSB does seem to make quite a bit of difference.

oh well an extra 100+ boost in memory points aint bad at all

Alright Hehe, I got a 175 points boost out of all those tweaks.

I guess we're all just waiting for some Mushkin or EMS PC133 huh ?

can someone fill me in?
and I'm using PC 100 10ns RAM (yes I know, it came out of a celeron 266 system)
