Who said Celerons was crappy SETI preformers??

I first ran the standard setiathome_win_2_04.exe. Before I even finalised the first WU I found out it was too slow (aprox. 17h), so I switched to the commandline, and VOILA!!!! Runs "sligtly" faster now.

    The FrankenCooler's scores:

    Pos. 481 since yesterday, WU's at 6h.55min.

    Not bad for a Celeron466

Their website said "Requires Linux Distrubution based on kernel 2.4.2 or better," so I went and installed FreeBSD.

My c366@550 takes about 8 hours idle and 9 hours under use. Sure they are crappy performers, but think how much I didn't pay for it.

It said "requires Windows 95 or better," so I installed Linux.

[extreme jopey flamebait] The Celeron2 was a bad idea - much like the JopecoolerŽ was. Both are sluggish and rather crude. The only thing worse than a Celermine is a JopecooledŽ Celermine. [/extreme jopey flamebait]

It was the Jopemann. He coined the phrase. But they suck at seti so it dont matter.

you know... i originally proposed Culeron because of the wonderful Spanish translation (***-master). Now that everyone has realized how hopeless this "new" tech is at SETI, can we please just call it for what it is?
