SCSI cable question

Hi!
Can i cut off the SCSI cable after the last SCSI device?? It´s an U2W cable with termination by the HDD. After the SCSI controller there is 3-4 feet of extra cable that i will never use. Can i just chop it off??

Shouldn't be a problem although if there is a plug on the end, it may be worth un-terminating the HDD and putting an active terminator on the plug.

If you do cut the cable, make sure it is a very clean, straight cut .

It looks like it is cut from factory at the end. Its 2-3 hdd connectors on the way to the end. Still just cut it off?

I'll just ask the obvious question....Why would you want to? You can never have too amny connectors on a cable.

Professur: All thoose xtra cables stops the airflow... SCSI for HDD, SCSI for CD´s, IDE for CD, and last the floppy cable. Looks better without thoose 3 feet off xtra cable at the bottom of the case... Im not going to buy any more HDD´s so it doesnt matter.
