Putting my abit BE6 II rig together. The board has three (3) pin adapters for fans, but my case fan that came with the case has one of the larger 4 pin deals power supply deals. Can I use this fan if so where do I plug it???
You can plug those fans into the outlets from the power supply. The other plugs for the fans that you see on the motherboard are 3 pin and they can be monitored from windows or in your bios. There may be adaptors to hook the big plugs into the small 3 pin but I don't know of any.
Its a small world man. I live in Ottawa Kansas. I drive up to Overland park every day. Good luck.
I usually go to Compdepo on 75 and metcalf to get my stuff. Were do you go?

Poopshoot In 2000!
I did not have sexual relations with that girl"Mrss Lewinski".
I have 2 cd roms and 2 hard drives so the four plugs will be taken. Are there other plugs???
Another question: My case has an assembly that houses my floppy, and hard drives and sits in the front of the case. It has 2 removable metal shilds over the two slots where the hard drive goes. Do I revomve the shields when I install the HD's. They actually fit fine with the drives in place.
Poopshoot: Actually got everything online, but I'll need a few extra parts so I'll check the place out.
You will need to get "pass thru" or "Y" connectors for your 4-pin power cables if you need more. You can always add them later as needed. They can be ordered online at many places or bought at your local comp store!
As for the "shields" or metal knockouts, you do not "need" to remove them as you have seen, but I always do to allow better airflow. It's up to you!

One last fan question:
I will have a cpu fan, a case fan in front, a slot type fan to cool my voodoo, and I have one extra case fan I was thinking of placing in the rear of the case. Should I make the rear suck or blow????
You want to have the rear case fan blowing opposite your front case fan. Most people have the front case fan blowing in and the rear case fan blowing out. This creates an airflow across your components. Important thing to remember is air in = air out.
You want the heat t obe REMOVED from the case. Remeber that heat rises, there fore, if you mount the case fan in the back, on the top, make it suck.
