i thought i read somewhere that fast fourier transform is not suited for general purpose processors but for digital signal processors. if so, then it would be easy as hell to build a DSP parallel processing system. it would be a record setting, WU crunching, steping-on-the-other-teams'-balls machine! i'm not saying that it wouldn't cost a **** load of $$$, but it would be awesome. there is a machine that was built similar to what i am proposing called Project Deep Crack.
