500e and a Global Win fan?

can i use my Global Win FEP32 heatsink/fan on a Intel PIII 500e with a slot 1 converter?

i know this my be a stupid question, but these new chips got me all confused....lol

but i guess it can't hurt to ask!!!!

Yes and no. Is that vague enough for you?

The Socket7/370 type is the correct heatsink for a FC-PGA P!!!, but the FEP/FDP 32 is a bit too large for many of the FC-PGA convertors.(without modification, anyway)

thats what i thought...
do you think it would be better to modify that cooler or use the stock one or a use an orb cooler?
i plan to overclock this cpu...and i hope to get 700+ with a Abit BX6-rII, what do you think?
