Why do you use a sloket?

What is the reason for doing this? Which way does it convert? Why don't you just use a normal mobo?

It is used to convert an FC-PGA chip to work in a Slot 1 mobo.

At first the Mobo's were not availible and if you just want to upgrade your CPU you can use your existing board.

And then you can match a superior MB, ABIT BE6-II, with a superior CPu, cuMine 600!
