well i don't know what the going rate of bean&cheese tacos are, {like 2 for $1?}, but i get payed 2, count that, 2 EVERY WEEK!!!! now i don't know what rich is if that isn't!!
the tacos are a raise i just recently got from the three peanuts a week i used to get...i don't know, but i think maybe i got jipped cause i'm only getting 2 things instead of 3. could someone maybe clarify this little incident for me? my boss says that the 2 tacos are much more than the peanuts, but i'm still sceptical......

I bill consulting at ATS ~1500/hr.
    Non-consulting I bill at ~850/hr.
Here those are quite "normal" rates.
I usually work 30 - 40 hrs a week and have about 50/50 consulting/non-consulting and have had the odd 80+hr week.

My company pays me 40000ATS a month (for 14 months a year) plus 25% of my billed hours.

The logic behind the taxation here is sick, but last year (99-00) worked out like this (based on 14.0:1.0 exchange rate, which was the avg over the last 12 months):
    $40287/a fixed (before tax)
    $36391/a variable (before tax)

I get 30 paid vacation days too. Obviously while on vacation the variable part of my pay is 0 (no billed hours).

I fully intend to bum the entire summer of 2000 and work very little.

And I still live in fear of Swedish wages.
They took 59% of all my gross '98 earnings away, those bastards at Skattemyndigheten!

And my rent here is more than US$1000/month.
    I am a bastard.

I make about 30120US$ a year before tax, and I normally work 37,5h a week and 4 weeks payed vacation. The tax is 36%. In addition I sometimes work extra. Sometimes up to 50h a week, which get me some extra income. "Skattemyndigheten" as Tiberia is referring to grab about 50% of that extra bucks.#@%&!!!!!

I'd like to have more, but since my company sell/service computer and stuff, I get nice discounts on HW/SW and also some audio/video-eqipment

Hi Guys, Don't want to start a flame war but don't you think talking about how much you earn is just a tad tacky? Plus, it just pisses off all the students and more normally paid forum members who aren't network admins and stuff like that .

PS. I'm on the down to earth paid list myself.

    Fishman, yes i agree.

I suggest the mods delete this thread, this thread is not good for the forum.
Someone might want to know how much others earn, but I dont think its good for this forum, becaus when you see someone buy something new, you start thinking about that rich bastard.

OK, so I make more money than some of you, BUT living in Norway is DAM expensive!!!

    0,5 l beer, 4,5% : 2,5$
    1 l gas 98 oct: 1,2$
    1 l milk : 1,2$
    1 LEVIS 501 : 60$
    20pack Prince: 7$
0,7l Bache Gabrielsen XO Fine Chapagne : 50$
0,7l Jack Daniels : 42,65$ (OK, US-guys, you are allowed to laugh your asses of)

Now, go figure why I have more than 30000$ a year..............

I am a computer hardware/software technician for a pharmaceutical robotics and healthcare automation company. I am 21 yrs old, and I make somewhere in the upper $30K's. I won't get specific though. Although, I love my job, I get 4 weeks pd vacation per year, and next month I am going on an all expenses pd vacation for me and my wife to Los Cabos Mexico for 4 days & 3 nights.
