I got a Creative Webcam II. It does the job.
Its picture quality blows away my friends IBM Webcam. No conflicts with any software, but it is the parallel port version, no pass through for printer, but for me that is fine I have a USB printer and my parallel port printer sits on a server on the network.
hey because of this thread i just hooked up a camcorder to my vidcard ASUS V6600 deluxe..excellent quality..if u have vid in on your card an a camcorder do it that way...
far superior to a web cam
Ditto on what jopey said with regard to the Intel PC Camera. I have one and it is excellent. Tried a few other brands such as Logitech and Kensington, but I felt the Intel was better.
I am a newbie when it comes to this stuff so I got a question. My video card (Leadtek GeForce) has a TV out.. will this work as an input for a camcorder?? If not I am thinking about the CL webcam.

Done.
Press any key to continue . . .
I use a RCA camera along with a vid capture card, would run around 350 or so, 299 for cam and 45 for card, its a tuner card too, so you can hook in cable or sattelite into the connection on the back.

"Thats my story and im stickin to it!"
If you want to use your cam-corder as I do the best low priced capture card is the Matrox G400TV, it is also your video card. Check out the www.videoguys.com . I havE a video camera , but my system is way too slow to add anything else to it. Waiting for my Athlon 700 system, then we will cook. Price for Matrox G400TV is about 299.00
