i just read on www.hardocp.com that the 550E slot 1 are excellent overclockers....
so which one is better? the flip chip or the slot 1?

Dual boot Windows NT 4.0 Workstation and Windows 2000 Professional (RC 2)
ABIT BP6, Celeron 366a @ 458, 320mb PC-100 RAM, WD 30.7gb 5400rpm, Sony 6x DVD-ROM, Yamaha 4416S, ATI Rage Fury 32mb, SB Live! Value, 3COM 3C905 Fast EtherLink XL, Sony 19" GDM-400PS
Depends on how are you gonna to cool the chip, if you wanna peltier cool your cpu, i think the Slot1 are better than FC-PGA. Otherwise, they are not much of a difference.

I have the 550E SLot-1.. Works fine running on a BE6 board.. I went out and bought the same coppermine chip that Kyle From Hardocp was using for his 550E Slot-1 article. No extra cooling was needed except a GlobalWin Dual Fan. Cpu Temp is at 102F @ 100% Load, and sys temp is at 85F.. I'm running the chip @ 825mhz, 150bus speed, 1.75v. Runs rock steady. I just love the new coppermines
