Heat vs. video card performance.

Does the extreme heat generated by the GeForce 256 (and other video cards) affect it's speed and performance? I am thinking of replacing the OEM heatsink/fan from my card with the lasgna cooler from TennMax.

Heat definitely affects the performance of the vid. You'll notice a slight degradition in FPS & some images will look weirder then usualy...

I just went to your website and noticed the pic of the GeForce 256 card with heatsinks on the chip and memory modules. I saw the little black heatsinks at Radio Shack. My question is, how did you attach them to the memory modules while still providing maximum heat transfer?

i got those mem sinks too.. they attach with double sided heat transfer tape...maybe radio shack has this stuff too...it is very thin stuff

and the sinks do get a little warm so they do work....
