I am wondering how the people who seriously OC go about it?
Are you all stone-cold sober; you make a plan, a diagram, and build it with germanic precision?
Or are you more like me; You sit there and think "I know I can get a few more MHz", start drinking your whiskey and after 3 glasses you come up with a brilliant idea?
i usually have a couple beers (let's hear it for Old Speckled Hen!) and then i'm ready to go... the thing is, i usually think of completely new ways to get my proc to work at higher mhz when i'm non-sober (not drunk, but definately not sober)... go figure
heh... i think advanced CPU cooling is automatically coupled w/ alcohol
Last summer was really hot in Vienna - was the first time I had been here in a LONG time and I was used to Scandinavian summers (~16C and rain), so 37C and sunshine was a novenlty.
Anyways, out came the spliff, my bob marley and Goa trance CDs, 1 crate of beer, the left over of some 18year old malt whiskey - this at 10am.
By 7pm my P75 was running at 154Mhz.
Hey...Scandinavian summer at 16c??? bull... It does get hotter... but not wery often...
Btw... If you tried our summers, where??? and are you from around here??? (Sweden)

I Thougth I Saw A Putty Cat...
I lived in Jönköping, and we struggled to get over 16C - we got a few days over 20C...of course 1997 was a rocking summer, but 1998 really sucked, even scotland was better
Living in Norway/Finland/Sweden would be great for overclockers. In the winter the outside temperature often get down to -20, -25 degrees C. Great for watercooling

Anyone got a cpu running at 666?
A few boxes of Fosters and i am in a great mood for OC
when i lived in NortNorway i missed the summer one year, i was taking a pee
so dont complain if you havent lived nort of the artic sircle

I've got a bottle of champers waiting on Ice ready for 700Mhz . My mate got this huge tube of water which has different coloured lights and bubbles and fish for his b'day. And whilst sitting there stoned admiring it, I couldn't help thinking about its cooling prperties
Anyone who wants, can post their pics of their systems. Send me web pages & links if you want. Give me a few days to get it up and running... but all I want is some good advice/participation.
Anyone interested???
