Dudes, if you read the past posts, ive already said that http://www.waterinside.com is open for overclocking crap. All that it needs is a better webhost (right now its HyperMart.net) and it'll be all good.
Hello all. This sounds like an interesting idea. I know of a good hosting company. http://www.simplenet.com/ Rather, their service plans seem good. I have never used them personally so I can not say anything positive or negative about their service.
This all looks good. I am considering taking on this central forum for overclockers. A web site with no sensless advertising for products that overclockers don't need for overclocking. Just a centralized meeting place for us all. Free in every way. Free speach, free spirit, and definately free of charge.
I would love to run the site, I even have a server I can redirect some of the traffic from the domain host off of. I could keep downloads and such on it. I was going to make it into a Starcraft server after I got my Athlon up and running late next month anyway. Hmmm. I'll administer the site, the email contacts, the downloads, etc. I'll work on the design and such. I need support from you guys though. If this is going to be a site for everybody, I will not be the only one doing all of the work here.
You guys have inspired me, but I will need some help. For example, the idea of the database, or an interactive help file maybie. Good ideas, but I am not a database wiz, nor have I ever in the past integrated a database into a web page. So I would need some one who has the desire and the know how to work on the setup. While some of the more experienced of us could write the content for the help file. You know, questions that are allways asked on the boards and such. Is anyone interested in working with me?
Crap!!!!!
There are no clubs dedicated to overclockers!!!
I've been looking for a day now.
But I could understand someone not wanting to start one because i am the only computer literate person out of all of my friends and they ask me to fix their computers all of the time.
One time my friend was installing a dos program and it asks to modify the autoexec.bat, so he opened the autoexec.bat with notepad, and on the first line he just wrote the name of the program that he wanted to run.
I had to fix it like the time i had a drunken expirement with linux.
Their website said "Requires Linux Distrubution based on kernel 2.4.2 or better," so I went and installed FreeBSD.
Excellent idea!
I would love to help organize this--
In fact, I run a gaming website. Maybe this would be a good addition to it.
How about this--I'll kindof try and help organize. If you're interested in helping *develop* and maintain a site/club like this, mail me (david@3ag.net).
btw- my site is http://www.3ag.net
Ok guys. I'll get started making the site this weekend. I would like anyone who wants to work with me on this to have my email address and send me email.
lord_gumby@hotmail.com
I think this would be better than eating up this bbs with this one topic. This will be an ongoing project after all. Everyone who would like to offer a domain, please drop me an email, we can all talk about it and choose the one that is the absolute coolist. Maybie we could get a new one. Hmmm. "www.cpuincenerator.net" or something.

<me>My name is Terrence and I'm an overclocker
<audience>Hi, Terrence!
<me>I can stop anytime I want!!
Actually, I was thinking we could host one every year during Comdex. Starting next year. We could have the party for several days, in different locations around the world. Their would be one in Las Vegas also, the members of which would check out comdex during the day time and send corrispondance to the other parties as they witnissed new and upcomming tecknology.
