Big Lar, I ran into the same problem. I found that I could get better results from the earlier versions (vba-2aa4, and 2aa5). The earlier versions are a little hinky beacuse they do not seem to allow you to save FSB's that are outside of the FSB you used to boot with. When you go to ver 2ba3 you only see the FSB's that are in the group associated with the FSB/AGP jumper setting but you seem to loose speed and stability.

I am still waiting on my 500e, so I do not know how the other FSB settings work. I can tell you that my li'l ol' celly 433 seemes to to do ok at 83x6.5, 541 MHz (just can't use my AGP card). I am happy with it; I have a 140k + DB that it crunches on with no problem, however, I do not get to play any of thoz fancy gamz.
What ver of Bios were you using?
