Someone please explain me why to get a 250$ PIII 450 cpu or even higher when with L2 cache runnig to half speed when U can get a 80$ celeron @ 366-400 that most times work werry well at 500+ speeds w L2 cache running at full speed, not to mention the perfomance comparing to piii 450...

Thats a wonderful question. I've thought about the half-speed cache, too. Maybe Intel should have gone with the full speed cache on the P3- just like the Celeron, only with 256k. I can't explain why the P3 cache can't keep up, even running at half-speed.
