DVD affected most by Overclocking

My computer runs stable at PIII 500 @ 600 2.3V however when DVD movie is played sound is kinda messed up. When I play a music cd it is not affected at all. When I change it to 550MHZ, everything is ok. Is there anyway I can get this thing fixed? I know it is not a sound card problem. I want to keep that 6X Toshiba DVD. Anyone has DVD drive that overclocks well?

What is your PCI set to ( ie. 1/4 divider or 30MHz )? I'm assuming you have a DVD Decoder card, and if you set your PCI divider to 1/3 it might not like that, try 1/4 divider.

are you using software decoding or hardware. if it is hardware my guess it that cannot handle the 120mhz FSB.

I have 1/3 divider. ABIT BE6 mobo. Damn it! It was awesome at 600MHZ...... anyway to fix that? DVD picture quality is perfect but it is the sound that bothers me!!!! also using POWERDVD softencoder.
