    what is a SECC2 Pentium 2??

    I'm going to buy some cooling device to my pII 333. But i dont know the difference between SECC2 Pentium 2 and first issue P2??

    The first issue PII was SECC (Single Edge Contact Cartridge) it encased the processor card in a platic shell with a magnesium backplate.

    The SECC2 is like the PIII, just has a plastic cover over the back with no magnesium part. It is assembled with pins.

    For you PII you will need a cooling device for a SECC.
