How far can I overclock a PII 233Mhz

I am upgrading my PII 233 system and I've bought a ASUS p3b-f motherboard and a Matrox G400 Max for start.
I want to overclock my CPU and I want to know how far can I go.

You aren't going to get very far with that processor unless you get extreme cooling for it. If you hit 300 MHz, consider yourself very lucky!

    Try 3.5 x 83Mhz to reach 290Mhz
If you can reach this it will definitely be it's max
    I have seen it done!

I guess I will let you know that your chip should be unlocked. Do what ever you can do to stay away from the 80mhz FSB speeds because harddrives don't like them. I had a P2-266 and it would go all the way to 375. my guess is like toolbox's try for 300 anything more is a blessing.

set your jumpers up to 100mhz FSB and a multiplier of 3 and see if it boots. I really don't know what FSB speeds that board has so just play around with it. I know that my P2-266 DIDN'T have a Heatsink/fan combo withit. It only had aheatsink. I removed it and put a good heatsink/fan combo on it before I started to overclock it.

    Post your results!!!!!!!
