can a celeron 466 reach 581mhz?

i have a celeron 466 and would like to push it up so that it will run really fast. I am only 14 and this is my first computer that I have built. I have a soyo 7izb+ (intel ZX chipset), a matrox G400, and a couple scsi (IBM)hdds conected to a Adaptec 2940 scsi card (from my dad). The cooling fan that i have is the GlobalWin FEP-32

I was wondering if i could hit 581mhz with this setup. (7x83) What are my chances and how will the hdds react to the 41 mhz pci bus?

Yes, they can, but it depends on you chip.
I was lucky with the one I tried a few months ago that made 581 2.0v core and retail heatsink.

You shouldn't have a problem hitting 581 MHz. Just be careful... you don't want to break your videocard or your really nice Hard Drives.

Go ahead and try Allen. My 466 needs a lot of cooling and 2,2V to reach 581, but yours might not need all that.

Hey! thanks everyone for responding so quickly. I will trying it out soon and see if it will work. Will m cards be affected in any way when the PCI bus is at 41mhz? That is what's keeping me away from going that high, i have it at 525 right now.
