DirectX 6.1 documentation states that it supports 3DNOW optimization. Does this mean every game that uses Direct3D mode can utilize the 3DNow extension of K6-2 processor to improve performance ? If the games do not actually support 3DNow optimization, does the 3DNow support still work in these games?

How about DirectX 7.0 ? Some websites state that DirectX 7.0 does not support 3DNow optimization. This is funny. Isn't it supposed to be an improvement of the previous version?
