will thermal paste be much of an aid for overclocking my tnt2 ultra xentor32? if so, do i just take the fan off, apply a thin layer of grease on the chip itself, and put the fan back on? what happens if I put the paste on my ***? just kidding on that last one...

the manufacturer may have used conductive tape or epoxy in which case you would benifit from paste. Read why paste is better than tape here
