How to overclock an AMD K6-2 300MHz to 350MHz & above????>

What's wrong with my system? I see a lot of AMD K6-2 300MHz users overclockng their CPUs to 350MHz and even 400+!!! Isn't that crazy?
I can't even boot up properly in the 350MHz mode,how vexing can that be, but why is that so? I've even jacked up the CPU's core voltage to 2.4 volts, but it just wouldn't work! i've tried 333MHz(3.5x95), 330MHz(3.0x110) & 315MHz(3.0x105) and they all work fine but why not 350MHz!?!?!?!
Can somebody PLEASE help me with this??????? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE???
Could it be the graphics card? Or whatever it is, can somebody PLEASE reply me A.S.A.P?????

Yo Jeff!
I'll take a wild guess and say you're running Windows '95b (OSR2). If you are, then you need a patch from Microsoft to enable OSR2 to run with a K6-2 350 or faster. There's a link to the patch from AMD's website too. You only need the patch with OSR2. Earlier versions of Windows '95 or Windows '98 don't need it. It's a problem with Windows by the way, not the K6-2.
I went through the same probs with mine too, and thought I'd fried something at first.
My K6-2 300 is now rock stable at 350 (100x3.5) and 2.3 volts.

I have two K6-2 350s one will clock at 450 2.3v and the other at 400 2.2v standard voltage for an AMD. The one that will do 450 is a 9920 the one that does 400 is a 9915 both have the newer core that is about 8% faster than the older one, but still slower than the K6-3 and I'm running Windows 98. I was going to lapp the tops straight to see if I could get more out of the things, they do sag in the middle.

Thanks Mr_Wobble for the patch that u sent m, but I had the patch already, but since my OS is Windows 98 that did not solve my problem, nevertheless your reply is very much appreciated. Is it that AMD K6-350 has a hicger overclockability than the 300MHz model? How about the 500MHz & the 450MHz processors, has anyone got hold of them and started to overclock them? How high can you overclock it to?

Yeah...I have oced my K6-2 450 to 501.12 @ 2.4v and 560 @ 2.6 v. Not too hard.
