Laptop runs hot... too hot?
I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 (Pentium II 300) that I only recently started to use extensively. After a while (1-2 hours), I noticed that the machine starts to get hot, and the little internal fan starts up to exhaust the hot air. The PCMCIA cards get really hot, almost too hot to touch, and you can really feel the heat from the laptop (it rests on a flat table surface). Is it normal for laptops to get this hot?
I've just installed Rain and noticed that the laptop doesn't get as hot as it used to, although you can still feel the heat emanating from the keyboard.
