Try going into Settings - General Settings and look for-> Message Editor Interface:
Change it to STANDARD if it on enhanced to see if that makes a difference.

Look in Device Mgr - USB section. Is there an USB 2.0 Enhanced type of entry? If not, check the pc makers web site for drivers.
