Your problem likely lies in this card sucking up the cpu cycles, and causing the sound to stutter. Try lowering the sound quality in the games if available.

I agree with Shiner. You won't notice any performance increase, unless your at least DOUBLE your current CPU speed. Plus, I wouldn't overclock a motherboard that already has the fastest chip it was...
