The current drivers for the MX300 and other Vortex-based sound cards from Aureal are the 2040 ones and a3d ones are like at 2.25....(these came out only a couple of days ago!)

Are u sure ur Celery 550 can run stable at 550? Dunno, but u could try running it @ 366 just to see if it's ur CPU that's not making ur MX300 work properly......
or u could download the latest...

My MX300 runs perfectly fine on my Abit BX6-2, w/o any problems whatsoever, and i'm very pleased with its sound performance...
