it just adds special effecs to the sound eg when u enter a tunnel in a game it will auto alter all the sound levels to make it sound as though u r there

do u get any sound from the pc it sounds like its either not pluged in proper or its in the wrong soket have u got in the line out with the jack in there and the phonos in the cd player just rechak...
