I have WinXP and a SBLive! Value card... Auto-configured on Windows installation... I don't know why you say WinXP doesn't support SBLive! cards. Anyways it sucks as I can't fix that damn sound...

I got the very same problem... Maybe you guys should try George's Latency fix on www.viahardware.com. It didn't work for me, but maybe it will for you...
