You can't go wrong with with the Logitech Z560s. They beat the Klipsch speakers in most reviews and cost less than half as much!

I highly recommend the ACS54 system.
For the money, they're about the best you can get. They're easily worth the price and then some.

The ACS54s are quite nice sounding.
I think $99 is a bit much though-- I know I can get them locally for $69, and I'd think you'd be able to find them for at least $79.

You won't be able to hear any difference whatsoever regardless what wires you pick.
Get some $5 wire at Radio Shack and go nuts. Monster cable would be a waste.

If you didn't have the patch or the right drivers for the SBLive, then you can't expect it to work properly at all. You're lucky you were able to do anything.

Nvidia didn't kill 3Dfx nearly so much as 3dfx killed THEMSELVES.
Who do you blame for 3dfx having inferior products? Nvidia or 3Dfx? Whose fault is it 3Dfx started to suck? Not Nvidia's.

A 15 pin patch cable will effectively put the port anywhere in the room within the length of the cable.

Let me guess: EMU10K01.vxd, right?
The drivers that shipped with most SBLives are KNOWN to be incompatible with Coppermine CPUs.
Up to date drivers should fix this.
