some no name company has a USB to optical out device for $100 at minidisco. i bet that would not be realtime output and generally annoying to use though.

also check out minidisco.com, which as the name suggest all about MD's. in the mp3 gear section it has a couple of specialized audio cards that have optical out. i'm interested in an optical out...

is there anyway to make these two play nice together? i can load and use soundfonts ok after installing as explained on the creative website but pressing any of the control buttons on the blasterkey...

my 750mhz athlon/abit k7 locksup when i'm playing multiple notes on my blasterkey mp3 keyboard. something to do with soundcard/ motherboard? any suggestions?

the lockup is definitely caused by using multiple sound channels, like when im using the 8MB soundfont and playing multiple notes at the same time. the sound starts to crack and then the system...

if you have any pci slots open go for a newer card. not necessarily anything fancy but something newer than an isa sb. you'll lighten the load on your system also.
