I fixed it!!
The answer was to click on volume control in task bar, options advanced controls checked, click on advanced bottom lower bass tone control by one notch. Easy hunh?

Follow the instructions I gave and if there is no + sign then highlight audio devices and click add. Choose from an NT list or browse to drivers on a floppy or CD.
