No markings on the case? Hopefully just a USB controller error, removing the disk from the casing and either using another external controller or plugging it into the pc directly may work.

Usually I find 3b is RAM related. Would test your memory. I believe I saw one or two instances when it was caused by a graphics driver as well. Overclocking?

If you were running a significant amount of them 24/7 maybe.. single psu with avg usage? Nah. Unless you're upgrading from a generic or needed the extra amps etc.. i'd not bother.

Yep, another vote for TX 650. Had one in a system since 2008 running 24/7 as a file server with 24 hdds. Gave up the ghost a few months before the warranty expired, 16.00 shipping and I got a new one...

Yea simple things like power good signals etc.. can cause that kind of stuff. Have had a few weird no gos over the yrs, both from reputable brands.
