Have a look at your system in the control panel.
There could be a mess with your peripherals (very common IRQ problem with the SB16 emulation).
Got a 1024 a month ago, with an AMD K6-2 500. Works...

I would say it is your IRQ 10 that messes it up.
Try to kick your USB somewhere else.
E.g. put the SB16 emulation shared with LPT and the USB on IRQ 5... well, if you can...
You have an AGP video...

Actually, there are drivers, but make sure to go to the European website, not the soundblaster.
Also, they are from May, I would guess my card shipped with them...

Damn serious Mephisto, tried again today.
There are drivers for the US, though I dunno how it would work with European cards.
And anyway, it is not my own connection, so I cannot download that big...
