turtle beach (santa cruz) is a decent sound card for 50 bucks (u.s.).
If you ever get an Nforce mother board... tom's hardware had real nice things to say about the quality of the integrated...

Wow...thanks. That makes sense. His neighbor has a towering Cb antenna and could be the source. Not sure if its worth alienating a neighbor over though.

My fathers new computer, with a sound blaster live value card, and harmon cardon speakers are picking up what seems to be garbeled phone conversation. I suspect it may be just the houses wiring...
