hmm..thats a good point, the only reason i got a 32' cable was the price difference between that and and the 20 foot one was like $15. I only actually need about 18'. I try to buy cables longer...

If memory serves correctyl, 12 gauge is thicker and therefore better quality as there is less resistance and more of the signal will get through from the receiver to the speakers.
