Well, the biggest problem with A3D 2.0 is that it's a Closed API, you need to pay Aureal to use it in a game.

ok, let's clear some things up.
The Sound Blaster Live! Family supports A3D 1.0 (not 2.0 OR 3.0) in Hardware.
as well as EAX and DirectSound 3D.
now, EAX adds Enviroment Effects ONLY. 4 speakers...

I don't know how it is with the PCI128 (A live! Vlue owner myself) but make sure that the CSS is not set into Movie Mode, turn the CSS off UNLESS you are playing a file that is encoded with Dulby...
